Don't be surprised if anyone knows me. This post is to promote my only book (so far) translated into English, and that's why it's in English and open to the world.
A well-deserved retirement is approaching, and I want to occupy myself with something enjoyable until the funeral. In the second half of my life, I often wrote, whenever time and my wife allowed. At first, it was translations of songs from Hebrew, then poetry, then home-grown science articles, then a couple of science fiction stories. Plans for more are emerging. I wrote, of course, in my native Russian. I don't know if every soldier dreams of becoming a general, but almost every writer anticipates the possibility of publication.
My problem is that for a writer, the imaginary audience is, first and foremost, people who speak the same language. But for me, people who speak Russian have ceased to be an imaginary audience. Probably forever.
So, my plans are as follows: translate a book about the Special Theory of Relativity, "Understanding Einstein," into English and Hebrew; translate a nearly completed popular science article on cosmology, "One Universe, Two Universes," into English and Hebrew; and an article on thermodynamics (about entropy); and translate a couple of other completed short stories. And finally, write a sequel to the already completed novella, "Another Mars," which I'm promoting in hopes of expanding its readership.
The novella is published in three formats:
- As an audiobook, it is available on Rakuten Kobo and Everand (and possibly elsewhere at the discretion of the editorial site "INAudio"):
